End-of-Summer Update
Hello from Team EOM! Hang on... is it September already?!
We've been looking forward to performing at the inaugural Strings & Suds Music Festival for so long now that we can't believe it's over and fall is almost upon us. Last weekend, we pointed our vehicles south and headed to beautiful Black Mountain, North Carolina for the first time! We had the privilege of kicking off a day of music that also included The Mavericks, Donna the Buffalo, Junior Brown, and many more...
After our set, we met some awesome festival attendees and heard some incredible music that lasted well into the next day. Strings & Suds culminated in a late-night jam, and we had a cool opportunity to play a tune with its host: the one and only Jim Lauderdale! We're all big fans of Jim's music, so this was an amazing way for us to cap off our festival experience. Thank you: to Jim for playing a tune with us, to everyone who came out to support live music, and to festival co-producers Pisgah Brewing Company and HoosierDevil. Western North Carolina, we look forward to our next visit!
Our next event is closer to home; we're excited to perform at the Shady Grove Coffeehouse on Saturday, September 14th! The Coffeehouse is a non-profit concert series hosted by the Unitarian Universalist Community Church in Glen Allen, VA, in the northwest suburbs of Richmond. They have presented over 160 acoustic, traditionally-based concerts since their founding in 1998.
